About

Abby Wright Day
ahwphotographs@gmail.com

I am a multidisciplinary creative focused on photography, illustration, visual storytelling, brand identity, moving image, and spatial design. My work brings art and philosophy together, creating immersive environments and branding that translate complex concepts into visual experiences people can connect with.

Alongside my exhibition and installation practice, I have developed commercial work across luxury and lifestyle sectors. I have shot advertising campaigns for Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, created merchandise and branded apparel for the Sconset Casino, as an example.

I work across contemporary art, historical research, photography, design, and creative direction, often developing both the conceptual and the practical. My experience ranges from developing exhibitions and visual identities to creating campaigns, logos, photographs, moving images, merchandise, and physical spaces. I am particularly interested in building a strong concept and carrying it all the way through, from the first image or concept to the way it is ultimately seen, experienced, and produced.

Abby received her Masters in Contemporary Photography; Practices and Philosophies from Central Saint Martins and holds a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts. She has exhibited her own work at Saatchi Gallery in London, The Tate Modern, and The Ringling Museum, amongst others. She has lectured on contemporary philosophy and photography at Zurich University of the Arts, the University of the Arts London (Central Saint Martins), and across fine art instutions in Berlin, Germany.
